Our community should be a place where people can learn, question, share, collaborate and discover.
These Community Guidelines explain the behaviour expected from everyone using the Scientific Ravi community.
By participating in the community, you agree to follow these guidelines.
1. Be Respectful
Treat other members with respect, even when you disagree.
We welcome:
- Different opinions
- Scientific debate
- Constructive criticism
- Questions
- Healthy disagreement
- Discussion of competing ideas
We do not allow:
- Personal attacks
- Harassment
- Bullying
- Threats
- Intimidation
- Repeated unwanted contact
- Abusive behaviour
Remember:
Challenge ideas, not people.
2. Keep Scientific Discussions Constructive
Scientific Ravi encourages curiosity and questioning.
You are welcome to:
- Ask questions
- Challenge scientific claims
- Present alternative hypotheses
- Share research
- Discuss experiments
- Discuss emerging technologies
- Debate ideas respectfully
However, intentionally presenting false information as established fact, manipulating scientific information, or deliberately misleading other users is not permitted.
Where appropriate, provide reliable sources or clearly distinguish:
Fact → Opinion → Hypothesis → Personal experience
3. No Hate or Discrimination
Content that attacks or promotes hatred against individuals or groups based on protected characteristics or identity is not allowed.
This includes:
- Slurs
- Dehumanizing language
- Threats
- Calls for violence
- Targeted harassment
- Discriminatory abuse
Respect the diversity of our community.
4. No Harassment or Bullying
Do not use Scientific Ravi to repeatedly target another person.
This includes:
- Insults
- Threats
- Humiliation
- Doxxing
- Stalking
- Persistent unwanted contact
- Coordinated harassment
Disagreement is acceptable.
Targeted abuse is not.
5. No Spam
Do not use the community primarily to distribute unwanted promotional or repetitive content.
Examples include:
- Repeated promotional posts
- Copy-paste posts across multiple groups
- Unsolicited advertisements
- Referral spam
- Excessive self-promotion
- Fake engagement
- Automated spam
Legitimate opportunities and relevant professional information may be shared where permitted by the applicable community or platform rules.
6. No Scams or Fraud
Scientific Ravi must not be used to conduct or promote scams.
Do not:
- Request money through deceptive claims
- Promote fake jobs
- Promote fake research opportunities
- Impersonate organizations
- Share fraudulent investment opportunities
- Collect credentials through phishing
- Misrepresent qualifications or affiliations
Users should independently verify important opportunities before sending money or sensitive information.
7. Protect Personal Information
Do not publish another person’s private information without appropriate authorization.
This includes:
- Phone numbers
- Personal addresses
- Private email addresses
- Financial information
- Passwords
- Identification documents
- Private conversations
- Other sensitive personal information
Do not publish your own sensitive information publicly either.
8. Intellectual Property
Only share content that you have the right to share.
Do not upload or distribute:
- Pirated books
- Copyrighted courses without permission
- Unauthorized software
- Stolen research
- Plagiarized work
- Copyrighted images or videos without appropriate rights
If you reference someone else’s work, provide appropriate attribution where applicable.
9. Jobs and Opportunities
Users and organizations posting jobs, internships, fellowships, projects or other opportunities must provide accurate information.
Do not post:
- Fake vacancies
- Misleading salary information
- Fraudulent recruitment schemes
- Opportunities requiring suspicious payments
- Illegal employment opportunities
- Misleading company information
Scientific Ravi may remove or restrict suspicious listings.
However, users should independently verify an employer, organization or opportunity before sharing sensitive information or making payments.
10. Advertising and Promotion
Commercial promotion should be relevant and appropriate to the platform.
Do not:
- Flood community feeds with advertisements
- Repeatedly promote the same service
- Mislead users about products or services
- Use fake reviews or testimonials
- Manipulate engagement
Where Scientific Ravi provides an official paid promotion or sponsored-content system, promotional content must comply with the applicable requirements.
11. Malicious Content
The following are strictly prohibited:
- Malware
- Viruses
- Phishing links
- Malicious scripts
- Credential-stealing pages
- Harmful downloads
- Attempts to compromise another user’s account
- Attempts to compromise Scientific Ravi’s systems
Security vulnerabilities should be responsibly reported to Scientific Ravi rather than exploited.
12. Impersonation
Do not pretend to be:
- Another individual
- A researcher
- A student
- A company
- An institution
- A laboratory
- Scientific Ravi
- Any other organization
Profiles and affiliations should accurately represent who you are.
13. Report Problems
If you see content that violates these guidelines, use the Report option where available.
You may report:
- Spam
- Harassment
- Hate or abusive content
- Fraud
- Misleading content
- Inappropriate content
- Impersonation
- Other violations
Please avoid using reports simply because you disagree with someone’s opinion.
A report does not automatically mean that the reported user has violated the rules.
Reports may be reviewed before action is taken.
14. Moderation Actions
Depending on the nature and severity of a violation, Scientific Ravi may take actions including:
Warning
For minor or first-time violations.
Content Removal
The post, comment or other content may be removed.
Temporary Restriction
Certain community features may be temporarily restricted.
Account Suspension
Access to the account may be temporarily suspended.
Permanent Account Termination
Serious or repeated violations may result in permanent removal from the platform.
Scientific Ravi may also take immediate action where reasonably necessary to protect users, the platform or comply with applicable law.
15. False or Abusive Reporting
The reporting system should not be used to:
- Intimidate another user
- Silence legitimate opinions
- Coordinate harassment
- Submit knowingly false reports
- Repeatedly report content simply because you disagree with it
Abuse of the reporting system may itself result in moderation action.
16. Minors and Safety
Users should exercise appropriate caution when interacting with people they do not know.
Do not:
- Request inappropriate personal information from minors
- Engage in sexual communication with minors
- Exploit or endanger children
- Encourage dangerous activities
Any suspected illegal or seriously harmful activity may be handled in accordance with applicable law.
17. Community Contributions
Scientific Ravi does not necessarily endorse every opinion, claim or statement made by community members.
User-generated content represents the views of the respective users unless expressly stated otherwise.
We may moderate content to maintain a safe, useful and constructive environment.
18. Appeals and Questions
If you believe that moderation action was taken incorrectly, you may contact Scientific Ravi through the official contact channels and provide relevant information about the issue.
We may review appeals where appropriate.
19. Updates to These Guidelines
Scientific Ravi may update these Community Guidelines as the community, technology, services and applicable laws evolve.
The latest version will be published on this page with the updated date.
